Palahniuk & Chocolate

20-something female atheist from the South with a penchant for Texas hold 'em, musical theater and horror movies. I wish I lived on a boat. I like to use things other people have created to express my individualism. Hi, I'm Sarah. Personal.

I’ve never mastered the art of friending people on Facebook.

What is the socially accepted time frame? If you hang out with someone once and send them a request, will they think you’re weird? If he’s a guy, will he automatically think you’re into him? Do you have to write on their wall immediately afterwards?

  1. sbz answered: Don’t be afraid of people, they are just people. That said, I usually wait for them to send me a request instead. :D
  2. robotinlove answered: I hate when someone requests to be my friend and then never writes on my wall…that’s awkward
  3. metakat answered: i’m an opportunist and friend anyone i’ve ever met anywhere. if you did that to me, i wouldn’t think you’re weird.don’t need to write on wall
  4. sarcasticthings answered: writing on wall immediately after: desperate.
  5. cosmocrat- answered: add them 2 days afterwards, and write something short. if you go on FB chat, they’ll probably think you’re into them
  6. breaktomake answered: I was just wondering this same thing!

  9. geniuspending answered: All I require to friend someone is eye contact and their last name.
  10. babyholdback answered: i hardly ever add people on facebook, i usually wait for them to add me for the same reasons.
  11. the---king answered: And God looked upon these words and said they were accurate. Amen.
  12. caramelzappa answered: My solution to all these questions is to just not have a facebook. (But yes, a guy will automatically think you’re into him.)
  13. slaughterhousefive answered: I usually wait until the end of the semester because I just wait for them to add me
  14. b-oomer answered: i almost always friend people the next day or 2 days after i meet them. no shame.
  15. beeatlegeuse answered: I think about this on a daily basis -.- I’m too chicken shit to add people immediately, BUT, I get so happy when someone adds me so soon hehe
  16. toolatetrotsky answered: 1. never write on their wall immediately afterwards, that just makes it really awkward, unless you have their pants in the back of your car.
  17. remembermeright answered: add as a friend after a couple of days, write on their wall perhaps but definitely not after they immediately accept the request
  18. fridasexual answered: I never know what to do with that either! I give it a week or two meetings.
